East County Coverage

I live in Maple Falls and it seems sumas repeater, while close, is on the wrong side of the mountain. curious if anyone else is out this way and what interest there would be in setting up a repeater cover this corner of the County. Especially given we seem to loose power up here a little more than normal. Not sure what's possible but it'd be cool to cover from Kendal to Glacier. 
I'm also at Baker a lot. Would be great if GMRS users had a repeater to find friends on the other ridges and support back county travel. Seems like a great safety tool as well. I have connections up there if there's interest. Is anyone else interested in this?

This is definitely an area that needs to have improved coverage. The problem is access to high ground to install one. The repeater site on Sumas mountain is very expensive to rent space on and other private sites usually do not have very good coverage. We'll keep working on it. If you come across any good sites, let me know.
